CENTENNIAL CANCELLATION STAMP UNVEILED IN PELLY
On June 30, 2011, as part of the Village of Pelly's Centennial activities, Postmaster Sandra Andrusiak postmarked the first stamp with the new Centennial stamp canceller. When this was ordered, Sandra wanted the first cancellation to be something special. The morning of the unveling she was promoting the Royal Wedding Day stamps that were released that day along with the Royal Wedding Keepsake Kit which inlcudes a specially addressed postcard to send personal best wishes to the Royal Couple. At that moment she decided to buy the stamps & keepsake kit to use fo rthe unveling of the new Centennial cancellation stamp for the Village of Pelly. Coffee was served to those in attendance of the event.
The following is the message that Sandra sent to the Royal Couple.
